FAQs

  • Equine bodywork is a hands-on approach that uses various techniques to address muscle tension, fascial restrictions, and imbalances in the body. My approach focuses on myofascial release to work with the nervous system and fascia, improving circulation, enhancing flexibility, reducing discomfort, and supporting overall mobility and wellness. This method is designed to restore balance, relieve tension, and optimize your horse’s function, whether for performance, rehabilitation, or general well-being.

    • Reduce fascial and muscle tension, promoting greater comfort and mobility

    • Enhance performance and range of motion by restoring balance in the body

    • Support recovery after injury or intense work

    • Promote relaxation and regulate the nervous system for mental and physical ease

    • Help identify areas of restriction before they develop into larger issues

    • Support horses with chronic conditions or age-related stiffness

  • All horses can benefit—from performance athletes to retirees, those managing chronic conditions, or simply in need of regular wellness support. Bodywork is helpful for horses in training, recovering from injury, or experiencing tension, postural changes, or restrictions in movement. This work supports overall comfort, balance, and optimal function.

  • In most cases, yes. However, bodywork is not a substitute for veterinary care. If your horse has a medical diagnosis or recent injury, I may ask for clearance from your veterinarian before proceeding.

  • Signs can include stiffness in their gait, toe dragging, resistance or irritability during tacking, and difficulty bending, collecting, or transitioning under saddle. These subtle changes can point to underlying discomfort in the body—and bodywork can help relieve that tension and support your horse’s comfort and performance.

  • PEMF stands for Pulsed Electromagnetic Fields. It is a non-invasive wellness treatment that enhances cellular health by stimulating the body at a cellular level.

  • The electromagnetic waves penetrate tissues, promoting better circulation, increasing oxygen and nutrient delivery, and helping to reduce inflammation. This enhances cellular repair and speeds up the healing process, making PEMF a powerful tool for pain relief and recovery.

  • During a PEMF session, your horse will stand in a comfortable area while the PULSE PEMF loops are applied to specific areas of their body. The loops emit gentle electromagnetic pulses, you may notice small or large muscle contractions during the session. The process is non-invasive, and most horses relax during the session.

  • Yes! PEMF therapy is safe to use alongside other treatments, including chiropractic care, massage, acupuncture, and veterinary care. It can enhance the effectiveness of other therapies by improving circulation, reducing inflammation, and accelerating healing.
