Hi! I’m Emma, and I’m the face behind The Functional Equine. Horses have been a huge part of my life for a long time. Before stepping into the world of equine bodywork, I worked as a trail guide and beginner lesson instructor—often riding and teaching off my two horses, Ricco and Maverick, who now get to enjoy all the benefits of my bodywork education.

My path to becoming certified in equine massage and PEMF therapy started out of love and appreciation for my own horses. I’ve always wanted to do everything I can to keep them feeling their best.

While I was working through my massage certification, Ricco began experiencing a painful flare-up of laminitis. I was trying everything I could to help him feel better. That’s when I purchased my PEMF machine, hoping it would offer him some relief—and it did. That experience inspired me to learn more and share these tools with other horse owners.

I founded The Functional Equine—a business dedicated to providing alternative, science-backed therapies to optimize your horse’s overall well-being. My goal is to offer effective, supportive treatments that go beyond conventional medicine so your equine companion can feel and perform at their best.
